Privacy: the Spring Prep Plan page
This page explains what the forms on our Spring Prep Plan page collect, what we do with it, and how to opt out. It covers this page and the emails that follow from it. Our main website, bachrealestate.ca, has its own privacy policy.
What the forms collect
- Step 1, the plan: your email address, and whether you ticked the box asking for our updates.
- Step 3, price range or walkthrough: your property address, email, name, phone number if you give it, when you are thinking of selling, and whether your home is already listed with a brokerage.
- With every form: the date and time, the version of the page you saw, your IP address, the exact wording of the consent box, and the advertising tags on the link you arrived from (for example which ad or email brought you here, and Google's click identifier). We keep these so we can show what you agreed to and so we know which of our ads are working.
Why we collect it
- To send you the Spring Prep Plan and, if you asked for one, your price range or walkthrough booking.
- To contact you about your request by phone, text or email.
- If you ticked the box: to send you our market updates, selling tips for your area and occasional notes about our services, by email, until you unsubscribe.
- If you gave us your address: to prepare your price range or walkthrough, to mail you occasional seller resources, and we may drop off a small seasonal gift. Tell us if you would rather we did not.
Where it goes
- Follow Up Boss, the customer system we use to keep track of conversations and send the emails above. It stores your details on servers outside Canada.
- Google and Meta measurement tools on this page record that a form was completed so we can see which ads led to it. We send Google a protected (hashed) version of your email, and the address details you entered, so it can match the completed form to the ad you clicked. We do not use these tools to sell your details.
- If you book a walkthrough, the booking goes through Google Calendar.
We do not sell or rent your details. We do not share them with anyone outside the services above and our brokerage, Royal LePage Nanaimo Realty, except where the law requires.
How to opt out or ask for deletion
- Every automated email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and the emails stop.
- To stop mail or gifts, or to have your details removed from our records, email travis@bachrealestate.ca or call (250) 619-2517. We will confirm once it is done.
- To stop Google or Meta from measuring your visits, use the ad settings in your Google account and Meta account, or your browser's tracking protection.
